I was first introduced to spatial data while working on large infrastructure and energy projects in Australia, creating thematic outputs to support project managers, planners, and engineers.

Since then, I’ve applied spatial-led approaches to distill and enhance complex planning messages, support stakeholder engagement, and de-risk project delivery. For me, this is the clearest way to make sense of complex geographic challenges involving multiple stakeholders.

My planning and geospatial experience include roles at KPMG Ireland, Origin Energy, and Cork County Council. This gave me good insight into the decision-making and engagement processes for housing, transport, and energy projects. Through Spatial Outlook, I’ve also managed a large SEAI co-funded decarbonisation R&D project involving public, research, and business partners across Europe.
